Retail Work Preparation training helps to support participants with disabilities to prepare for local employment opportunities.
Delivery Method:
This 10 week program, specialising in the skills required to work in a retail shop, is delivered 1 day a week and is designed to be delivered in a supported retail environment.
Participants can demonstrate their skills and enthusiasm for working in retail whilst continuing to develop their customer service skills and learning what it takes to be a valuable member of a team. The training includes units from the Certificate II Retail Qualification and participants will receive an accredited Statement of Attainment upon completion.
We have delivered versions of this program in conjunction with Villa Maria, Konnections and The Salvation Army Employment Plus. Every course has been different, challenging and a heap of fun!
The Statement of Attainment obtained through this course is often a huge boost to the self confidence and belief of people trying to find a pathway into the world of work or further study.
