Certificate IV in Disability provides the Nationally Recognised qualification for people wishing to work in disability support.
This course will support you to take on a challenging and rewarding career in the community services sector. Right now there is a shortage of workers in this field so there are strong employment opportunities.
Manual Handling and First Aid are included in your training. Manual Handling is generally an employability requirement in the industry.

- Home Carers (either council based or with private agencies)
- Residential Support Workers (working in Community Residential Units)
- Working with agencies providing in home support for people with disabilities and older people living independently.
We specialise in training people who have been out of the workforce or education for a period of time. Our goal is to make your training relevant, inclusive and most importantly, enjoyable and fun.
Delivery Method:
This qualification is delivered in the classroom over a period of approximately 20 weeks, 3 days per week, 9.30am – 3.30pm. There is also a 120 hour unpaid placement component to the course, which is arranged for you by Employ-ease.

- HLTHIR403B - Work effectively with culturally diverse cleints and co-workers
- CHCCS400A - Work within relevant legal and ethical framework
- CHCDIS411A - Communicate using augmentative and alternative communication strategies
- CHCCS305A - Assist clients with medication
- HLTFA301B - First Aid training (Level II)
