Certificate III in Home and Community Care (incorporating Certificate III in Aged Care) provides two nationally recognised qualifications for people wishing to work in aged care facilities and the home care sectors of the community services industry.
At Employ-ease the two qualifications are delivered in one course so that our graduates have broader employment opportunities. We also include Manual Handling and First Aid training which are required to obtain work in the industry.
This course will provide you with the confidence, knowledge, practical skills and qualifications to work in the following jobs:

We specialise in training people who have been out of the workforce or education for a period of time. Our goal is to make your training relevant, inclusive and most importantly, enjoyable and fun.
Delivery Method:
The course is delivered in the classroom over a period of approximately 20 weeks, 3 days per week, 9.30am - 3.30pm. There is also a 120 hour unpaid placement component to the course, which is arranged for you by Employ-ease and supported by a Mentor.

- CHCICS302A - Participate in the impementation of individualised plans
- CHCAC319A - Provide support to people living with dementia
- CHCPA301B - Deliver care services using a palliative approach
- HLTHIR403B - Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
- CHCDIS301A - Work effectively with people with a disability
- CHCICS304A - Work effectively with carers
- HLTFA301B - First aid training (Level II)

Traditionally this course has very high employment outcomes, as this qualification is the minimum requirement for staff under the aged care industry quality framework. Usually demand for qualified staff outstrips supply.
Training / Career pathways:
A number of the units in this qualification can be credited across to the Certificate IV in Disability Work. This is a great way to obtain an additional qualification and open up your career opportunities.
